WOW! This past weekend delivered so many ohhh's and ahhh's and 1st wins for teams that everyone is still in a rare state of shock. Many teams are facing harsh realities about their hopes of getting into the playoffs as we enter the second half of this NFL season but others have a sense of urgency and are fighting back. SG's weekly picks are in for Week 9 and the "Inside Wire Crew" is locked and loaded for another week of NFL action, great sports commentary, and comedy. SG's Picks for Week 9

Baltimore vs. Cincinnati
Winner: Baltimore Loser: Cincinnati
SG's Note: Baltimore's defense capitalized on a week of rest and came out against Denver with a point to prove after losing 3 games straight. Cincinnati is coming off of a bye week but may not understand that Ray Lewis and company are going to be bringing exotic blitz coverage's that they have never seen before. This is a key divisional matchup but I do think that the Ravens will beat the Bengals and WIN.

Arizona vs. Chicago
Winner: Arizona Loser: Chicago
SG's Note: After watching the Cardinals debacle this past Sunday, I have to question just how good they are at being consistent. The Bears have been on that same "inconsistent road" with them as well and both teams are suffering with player injuries. Needless to say, Arizona has been better on the road this season and their defense will step up and do a better job on stopping the run. Look for the Cardinals to WIN.

Washington vs. Atlanta
Winner: Atlanta Loser: Washington
SG's Note: As much as I would love to call this an "upset game" I can't. My Redskins have embarrassed themselves, the organization, and the fans with how they have been playing and it just seems to get worse every game. Atlanta lost a tough game against the Saints on Monday night but will bounce back and pull out a WIN on Sunday.

Green Bay vs. Tampa Bay
Winner: Green Bay Loser: Tampa Bay
SG's Note: The Packers made a lot of mental mistakes this past Sunday against the Vikings and Leslie Frazier (the defensive coordinator for the Vikings) had no mercy for Aaron Rodgers. The Buccaneers are a complete mess and may not win a game this season. Look for Green Bay to WIN with no problems.

Miami vs. New England
Winner: New England Loser: Miami
SG's Note: The Dolphins won a great shoot out against the Jets this past Sunday. The Patriots are coming off of a much needed bye week and ready to face the Dolphins wildcat offense. Nonetheless, its hard to go to battle with New England in Foxborough and a well rested New England team. The Patriots will WIN .

Kansas City vs. Jacksonville
Winner: Jacksonville Loser: Kansas City
SG's Note: This is a must win for the Jaguars after losing to a winless Titans team this past Sunday. The Chiefs are a complete mess and have faced the harsh reality that the season is over for them. Jacksonville will WIN with no problems.

Houston vs. Indianapolis
Winner: Indianapolis Loser: Houston
SG's Note: Let's admit it... The Texans are good and they may even make the playoffs but are they "good enough" to beat the Colts in Indy. Indianapolis faced a tough challenge this past Sunday against the 49'ers and this week will be even tougher. Needless to say, their defense has been fierce and continuing to improve week after week. Look for the Colts to WIN.

Carolina vs. New Orleans
Winner: Carolina Loser: New Orleans
SG's Note: What a surprising yet great win for the Panthers on Sunday in the desert. The defense stepped up and made it happen in leading the team to victory but this Sunday in New Orleans is going to be a real test. I'm calling it a "trap game" for the Saints and yes "SG's Survey" says this is an "UPSET OF THE WEEK" and the Panthers will shock everyone and beat the #1 team in the league. Darrin Shaper turned 34 yrs old on Wednesday and he is without a doubt the stud in the Saints secondary right now. Greg Williams (their defensive coord.) is allowing him to call the shots and be the veteran & voice on the field for the rest of those guys. He takes risks, gets himself in position to be in the right places on the field, and shows why he is still one of the best safety's in the NFL. In my opinion, he's actually using him like he used the late Sean Taylor (former Redskin) when he was with Washington. Needless to say, 2 initials + 1 name = JP... JULIUS PEPPERS will be a defensive force to reckon with and lead his unit as well. He is coming alive and we all know that he is a beast and the quarterback of the Panthers defense. So this will be a great defensive game but the Saints will take the Panthers for granted and I do think that Carolina will come out on top in the Superdome with a WIN on Sunday.

Detroit vs. Seattle
Winner: Seattle Loser: Detroit
SG's Note: Seattle gave it their best in Dallas but came up short yet again. They are 3rd in the NFC West and it doesn't look good for them in making the playoffs. Detroit couldn't even beat the Rams at home so they have definitely faced the harsh reality that their season is over. Quest Field will be rocking on Sunday in Seattle and the Seahawks will WIN.

Tennessee vs. San Francisco
Winner: San Francisco Loser: Tennessee
SG's Note: Vince Young is definitely the future in Tennessee and he led the Titans to their first win on this past Sunday. Chris Johnson was a stud and the defense finally stepped up as well. Going into San Francisco won't be easy and Mike Singletary and the 49'ers know that they have to bounce back and win at home. Frank Gore and company will do what it takes to beat Tennessee and WIN .

San Diego vs. NY Giants
Winner: NY Giants Loser: San Diego
SG's Note: The G-MEN are looking like the TIN-MEN! Teams are knocking them down and they are not bouncing back. The Chargers can't blitz like some of the others teams that the Giants have seen and the Giants defense is going to give them lots of problems up front. An inside source informed me that Tom Coughlin is back to being the old "crazy" coach that they knew in the beginning and I think that this will motivate the Giants to play better. Look for the G-MEN to bounce back and WIN.

Dallas vs. Philadelphia
Winner: Philadelphia Loser: Dallas
SG's Note: I am trying to figure out why everyone is ready to crown the Cowboys Superbowl champions after beating the Seahawks this past Sunday. Let's all rememeber, they are in the NFC East and no matter what teams play down to Dallas, the NFC East contenders always play up to them. The Eagles made everything that they did on both sides of the ball look easy and they understand that this is a do or die game for who takes the top spot in the NFC East. Needless to say, I think Philadelphia will do what it takes to get it done and WIN.

MNF Game
Pittsburgh vs. Denver
Winner: Denver Loser: Pittsburgh
SG's Note: I was very shocked after having to watch the Broncos get humbled by the Ravens on this past Sunday. I personally think that they should have worn my favorite "Sexual Chocolate" socks and that would have made a huuuuuuge difference in the outcome of the game. (Lol) Needless to say, I've been told that they have been running lots of hills in Mile High this week and they know what they are facing with the Steelers coming to town. Pittsburgh has had a few great victories over the past few weeks but Denver's defense is out for blood and ready battle it out on the field. Brian Dawkins and Elvis Dumervil are the quarterbacks for that defense and the intesity and passion that they play with is felt throughout the stadium. "SG's Survey" says the Broncos will light the fire in Mile High and torch the Steelers in order to pull out a WIN.

That's all for now!
